The Teacher - (cont.)  -has a lending library to help students with music costs.     -has a minimum of 2 group classes per term and 2 recitals a year for performance experience.     (The group classes present an opportunity for learning and gaining experience in performance training, theory, ear training, sight reading and ensemble playing. The classes will be divided according to age and music level. These classes are a very important part of the program.

The Student-     -arrives on time at each lesson, well prepared and with all materials.     -keeps track of practice time. This helps the teacher to evaluate the student's progress, commitment and understanding of the materials.     -is expected to complete the term.     -participates in recitals and performance classes (at least by attendance). The Parent -     -arranges for the student to be dropped off and picked up on time. The teacher can only be responsible for the student during the contracted lesson time.     -buys all necessary books and materials including a 3 ring binder and a blank 60 minute cassette for the first lesson.     -encourages the student with an active interest in practice sessions.
